Originally established in 1996 as The Institute for Economic Development, Inc. (IED), the organization approved a name change in January, 2014 to the RADC. Prompting this organizational pivot was the recognition that the Delaware County waterfront, with its rich history and transportation assets, is poised to serve as the engine for economic and social development.
The Riverfront Alliance’s Board of Directors is comprised of organizational leaders who are committed to the economic and social development of communities along the Delaware County waterfront. Recognizing that a unified voice and collaborative efforts are more powerful than individual endeavors, we will add Board members who are interested in advancing our mission, subject to the following director requirements.
The Riverfront Alliance of Delaware County (RADC) is a consortium of private sector corporations and non-profit institutions that have come together to develop and implement programs and activities that serve as the catalyst for the physical, economic, and social development of the Delaware County waterfront.
The Riverfront Alliance is unique in that its bylaws require the CEO, COO, owner, or senior manager of the member organization serve on the Board. With many of the region’s top employers as members, we are in a position to leverage the collective capacity of these institutions to accomplish our objectives.
